MEET SHAY

Shay Yellowbird is a Skills Link Coordinator with Samson Cree Nation’s Education, Youth & Skills Development, bringing over 10 years of experience working alongside his community. His background in social work, program development, and service on boards and committees has shaped a steady, people-first approach rooted in respect, accountability, and showing up consistently.
Shay is committed to supporting youth and families by creating real opportunities that reflect the needs of the community. His work focuses on strengthening local capacity, building relationships that bring value back home, and making sure youth feel heard, supported, and connected to both their future and their identity. He believes that strong communities are built through trust, shared responsibility, and investing in people today so the next generations are prepared for tomorrow.

TRAINING & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
